3/4th Royal West Surrey (Queens), a territorial battalion, arrived in France in June 1917 and during July and the first week of August they were employed as carrying parties taking supplies forward from Arras to the front line near Monchy as well as receiving trench instruction with 4th Division. Arthur Cresswell did from wounds on 5th August, 1917, but there is no information as to when he was wounded. |
